Situated on Majorca's south-east coast, Cala d'Or is a popular resort made up of many small coves, a bustling town and an exclusive marina.
Originally a small fishing village, Cala d'Or has grown to become a resort that covers three miles of sandy beaches and creeks. In the centre of the resort is the marina, also called Cala Llonga, which is home to many high-speed yachts as well as some fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes. A short walk uphill from the marina is the centre of Cala d'Or, featuring many hotels and busy streets full of family-friendly restaurants.
Cala d'Or is close to many larger beaches and other small villages that are worth exploring. The small village of Porto Petro, just south of Cala d'Or, has retained its charm and offers a slightly more relaxing atmosphere than its busier neighbour. Further north, the large natural harbour of Porto Colom features a sandy beach and plenty of opportunities for watersports.
