Flying Direct to Costa del Sol from Guernsey

2025 Programme - Coming Soon

For our 2025 programme to the Costa del Sol direct from Guernsey we are pleased to welcome you onboard with BA CityFlyer. You will enjoy a comfortable flight of around 2.5 hours on one of BA CityFlyer’s Embraer E190 jets. The seating configuration for this plane is a 2 x 2 layout with seats numbered AB-CD across one row. Malaga airport is conveniently located only a 10-minute drive from Torremolinos and a little over 40 minutes to the whitewashed glitzy resort of Marbella.

2025 Flight Timetable

The first departure from Guernsey will be on Saturday 27th September, then the weekly departures will switch to a Sunday from the 5th October until the 26th October 2025 when the final flight will depart Guernsey for Malaga, returning on Sunday 2nd November. Stays are available for weekly durations for 7 nights or more subject to availability.

Saturday 27th September 2025:

Check-in opens from 2 hours prior to scheduled departure time in Guernsey, and 2.5 hours prior to departure in Malaga and minimum check-in time for all flights is 1 hour prior to departure.

As of 22nd August - please note Twilight check-in is currently unavailable for our clients, we will update this message once the issue is fixed.

Twilight Check-in at Guernsey Airport will be available to FlyDirect clients between 15:00 and 20:00 the day prior to departure. Each adult, and any youths or children travelling on a separate booking reference, must present their own passport at the airport in order to use this service.

For flight only customers please check our website 24 hours prior to departure where any change in the scheduled departure time will be clearly posted.

Final flight details for all FlyDirect departures will be shown on your pre-departure information issued by email approximately 1 week prior to departure. If you have not received this email by the date 5 days prior to your departure, please contact our office.

Occasionally, we might have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes will be minor and we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date.

Luggage

20kg of hold luggage and one cabin bag up to 10kg (maximum 56cm length x 45cm width x 25cm height including wheels and handles) is included in your flight price.

Any additional items, such as a handbag or laptop bag/briefcase, must be carried within this single item of cabin baggage and the overall weight must not exceed 10kg in total.

For any oversized bags, any excess weight will be charged at the airport’s current excess baggage fee each way. This will be applied and paid at check-in. Alternatively an additional suitcase of up to 20kg can be booked in advance, at a cost of £60 return. Please contact our team on 03301 344 733 for more information or to book. Infants under 2 years of age are entitled to 10kg and in addition can take a pushchair and/or car seat.

Extra Legroom Seats

There is now the option to upgrade to extra legroom seats for only £50 per person return.

A limited number of seats are available per departure and are subject to availability at time of upgrade request. These seats carry restrictions as to who can occupy specific seats due to safety criteria. Please call our team on 03301 344 733 to discuss. Restrictions may include:

• Infants under the age of 2
• Children under 12 years
• Disabled passengers
• Mobility impaired passengers
• Pregnant passengers
• Passengers requiring an extension belt
• For emergency exit rows you must be able to speak and understand English or Spanish

Catering

BA CityFlyer will be providing a complimentary drink and snack on board this service for our clients travelling to the Costa del Sol.

There is no buy on board service available, however passengers are welcome to take food & soft drinks purchased in the airport on board with them.

Travelling with Golf Clubs

Golf Clubs and properly packaged bicycles can be carried on our Costa del Sol service. The charge is £60 per item return, and this is payable to FlyDirect at the time of booking.
