Fun things to do in Ibiza with kids

Ibiza is regarded as a party island and clubber’s heaven, but that’s not all it has to offer. With unbeatable weather, spectacular beaches, and a plethora of things to do with kids, it’s also a great holiday destination for families. Here are our top picks of kid-friendly activities that the whole family will enjoy!

Amazing boat rides

One of the best and most relaxing ways to see the spectacular coastline of Ibiza is from the sea via one of the many pleasure boat trips available. Kids will have a blast being out on the water. Besides, it’s a stress-free way to get around as the main beach towns and attractions are connected by ferry. Es Canar, Cala Pada, Santa Eulalia, Cala Llonga and Ibiza are some of the stops along the route.

Want to explore further afield? There are also ferries available to visit the neighboring island of Formentera. The Santa Eulalia Ferry company offers boat rides daily, check the schedule here.

A fun-filled day in the sun

A holiday to Ibiza would be incomplete without spending a day at the beach.

The island is packed with family-friendly beaches. Pretty stretches of fine sand to play on, shallow waters, mini-clubs, water sports, sunbeds & umbrellas available to rent, changing rooms and, of course, facilities for parents to relax! Es Niu Blau, Es Caná, Cala Llenya, Puerto de San Miguel and Cala Bassa are just a few of them.

Aguamar Water Park

The perfect alternative to a day at the beach for children (and grown-ups!) of all ages. Dabble in the different pools and zip down the many thrilling water slides, this park makes for a great family day in the sun.

The water park features changing rooms and lockers, relaxation areas with both sun and shade, an excellent restaurant, and a picnic zone for those who prefer to bring their own lunch.

Marine expedition at Cap Blanc Aquarium

The aquarium is a fantastic family-friendly attraction. Housed in an enormous natural cave, it was formerly used by fishermen to keep lobsters before being sold in the market. Young visitors will love to see colourful fish, the octopus, rays and other marine creatures in their natural underwater environment. An opportunity to engage with marine life that can’t be missed!

Browse the Hippy Markets

Ibiza has a worldwide reputation for its hippy markets. Visitors and locals alike flock there to shop, but also to experience the island’s culture, delicious food and lively atmosphere. There are plenty of artisan booths selling unique clothing, jewellery and other crafts; live music; a section for kids where they can craft a souvenir to take home with them; and cafés & bars.

While holidaying on the island, pay a visit to one of Ibiza’s longest running and most beloved landmarks, Punta Arabi Hippy Market. If you have more spare time, Las Dalias Hippy Market is also worth a visit.

Go off the beaten track with a Jeep Safari

The island boasts spectacular scenery that you wouldn’t always expect from a beach holiday. Yet, with a jeep safari tour, you’ll get a glimpse of Ibiza’s most pristine and undeveloped areas. Expect lush landscapes, pine forests, native flora and fauna along the way. Sometimes, throughout the journey, you’ll stop to go exploring on foot and take pictures. The tour finishes with a revitalising dip at one of the secluded northern beaches where you may enjoy a magical sunset.
