The charming old town is brimming with sidewalk cafés, al fresco eateries, boutiques, white-washed houses and churches, while the newer resort is bordered by a bustling boulevard that comes to life after nightfall. The picture is framed by 30-kilometer stretch of pristine beaches and coves.

Albufeira is renowned for its beaches, which are sheltered by cliffs and rocks that stand out for its diverse palette of colours. Praia do Falesia is located farther east lined by green pines and the countless reddish colours of the surrounding cliffs.

Along the coast of Albufeira you are invited to have fun in the sea with water sports, including sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing, and scuba diving. Likewise, golfers are in luck! Here the golf courses run almost to the water's edge, so that even when plotting your next pit, you can't help but be reminded of the soft golden sand that awaits sun-seekers and holidaymakers. Last but not least, foodies will enjoy a lip-smacking culinary scene that stands out for its fresh fish and shellfish that fishermen catch daily.
